Church Planting Partnerships
PARTNERSHIP:
Partnership in Church planting is imperative. We as a movement have the responsibility to be involved in some way in partnering with a new church plant. Partnering may come in the following ways:
PRAYER PARNERSHIP: Prayer support is a vital part of planting a church. This seems obvious, but the reality is that the spiritual warfare surrounding church planting is intense. Many planters are beginning their church plant with nothing, often in a new location away from family and friends. The planter, being a catalytic person, is working insane hours and usually out of his home. The toll on the family can be great. Your prayers can support and undergird the planter and their family during these early stages. In addition, prayer for the hearts of those who will be reached through this new plant, for finances for the planter (and team members) to live on, as well as to do ministry. For co-laborers to rise up and walk alongside the planters. Oh yes, your prayers are essential.
FINANCIAL PARTNERSHIP: It is our hope that every Church in our movement here in Western Australia will contribute financially towards Church Planting. As you are very well aware it cost a great deal to plant a Church. Unfortunately some of our Church Planters do not have a host Church to provide financial support in purchasing equipment, insurance and facility hire. We as a resource ministry want to be in a financial position to assist in the kick starting of some of these new Church Plants.
FIELD PARTNERSHIP: By this we mean assisting a church plant by serving the new church in practical ways such as:
- Sending an Impact team to assist the Church in outreach events.
- Releasing some of your people for a period of time to kick start a Church Plant.
- Adopt a Church planter and his or her family.
