Teen Challenge is a place of encouragement and support, a place where young lives are re-shaped and destinies changed, a place of security, where dreams of freedom and success are re-born.  Youth from all over Western Australia come to Teen Challenge, which is a Christian-based program.

Teen Challenge has a proven 86% success rate of young people who complete the program and is one of the most successful drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs in the world, with 1,080 centres in 90 nations.  Rev David Wilkerson began Teen Challenge in New York in 1958 and his highly successful book “The Cross and the Switchblade” has sold millions of copies around the world and has inspired as many people with its message of hope.

The program structure includes lecture classes, character development, relational guidance, social skills and recreation.  To emphasise the educational aspect of the program, Teen Challenge refers to its residents as ‘students’.  The student is tutored in developing positive attitudes, trustworthiness, concern for others and a strong sense of responsibility.
