Women's Ministries

Dear Friends,

It was wonderful to have so many ladies from around our gorgeous state of Western Australia gather for our annual “Just for Her” event in May 2010 (view our pictures). What a pleasure it was to have PS Justine Wiltshire from Kimberley’s together with some of our indigenous sisters also joining us flying down together from Broome many thanks to the sponsorship of Australian Christian Churches. We were also thrilled to have 34 girls from Esther Foundation sponsored to attend.

We have received encouraging feedback from the fabulous ministry we received from Pastor Helen Burns from Relate Church Vancouver, Canada and Pastor Vanessa Hoyes from Generations Church in the Gold Coast. Recordings of their messages can be ordered from admin@sunsetcoastclc.com or by calling 08 9301 0733.

All in all an inspiring and encouraging time was had by all ladies who attended Just for Her… We laughed, cried, danced (a spontaneous conga line around the auditorium… so funny!) prayed, hugged, worshipped our amazing Jesus, ate giant heart shaped lollipops, popcorn and fairy floss and left with our hearts full and inspired.

We will be sending a monetary gift toward the A21 campaign with some proceeds from our gathering www.thea21campaign.org

On Mon 16th August 2010 we gathered for an inspirational evening with Jade Lewis from Airport City Church, Belmont. Jade shared her amazing and powerful salvation story of restoration from drug addiction and her current involvement with our schools in WA and the women’s prison. We were delighted by the generous donation of clothes, shoes, linen and toiletries collected at our gathering to give to women transitioning from prison life back into our communities. (see pictures) We look forward to continuing to support Jade’s ministry to the women in as many ways as we can. For more information go to www.jadelewis.com .

You are warmly invited to a Vintage High Tea being hosted by www.estherfoundation.org.au a wonderful way to support our local WA girls being restored from life controlling struggles and issues including depression, teenage pregnancy, family breakdown and substance abuse.
